This hair color in combination with the messy cut is perfect. I've been adoring this color hair for years. This silvery grey still has a natural look to it.
It's not a color I'd quickly give my own hair, especially since I've been busy for what seems like forever to get it blonde. I'm a dark brunette so it takes some time. Over the past year and a half I've dyed my hair a lot, from highlights to full on colouring. I'm now reasonably blonde, except for the fact that it's still too red for my taste. Don't like the red, I want it white dammit. Last appointment I was supposed to get all over highlights again, but a few weeks earlier I noticed that pretty much every hair on my head had terrible split ends.
I've been cutting my own hair for quite some time now, and although I now use a proper method, I used to take a string of hair and slide the scissors down so I didn't get the straight cut look. But that really weakens the hair, and makes it next to impossible to trim your hair properly. So trying to get rid of those split ends was hell, especially since I cut of only little bits, after which the hairs would split again, because of course it's damaged way further than you see.
So no highlights this time, just the outgrowth, and the intention to wait with further colouring till summer to give my hair some rest. But now, a few weeks further, after cutting my hair more drastically (I even cut off entire pieces of hair at the back of my neck, luckily not noticeable) and I hardly see any split ends pop up, I'm kinda leaning towards getting those highlights. Now. Or perhaps, even though I swore never to do that to my hair, finally do bleach it white-blonde.
Oh how easily you cross your boundaries to get what you want.
