HAIR INSPIRATION: GREY / SILVER

Aline For a Day | Mode: Aline Weber | Photographer: Marton Perlaki | The Room

This hair color in combination with the messy cut is perfect. I've been adoring this color hair for years. This silvery grey still has a natural look to it.

It's not a color I'd quickly give my own hair, especially since I've been busy for what seems like forever to get it blonde. I'm a dark brunette so it takes some time. Over the past year and a half I've dyed my hair a lot, from highlights to full on colouring. I'm now reasonably blonde, except for the fact that it's still too red for my taste. Don't like the red, I want it white dammit. Last appointment I was supposed to get all over highlights again, but a few weeks earlier I noticed that pretty much every hair on my head had terrible split ends.

I've been cutting my own hair for quite some time now, and although I now use a proper method, I used to take a string of hair and slide the scissors down so I didn't get the straight cut look. But that really weakens the hair, and makes it next to impossible to trim your hair properly. So trying to get rid of those split ends was hell, especially since I cut of only little bits, after which the hairs would split again, because of course it's damaged way further than you see.

So no highlights this time, just the outgrowth, and the intention to wait with further colouring till summer to give my hair some rest. But now, a few weeks further, after cutting my hair more drastically (I even cut off entire pieces of hair at the back of my neck, luckily not noticeable) and I hardly see any split ends pop up, I'm kinda leaning towards getting those highlights. Now. Or perhaps, even though I swore never to do that to my hair, finally do bleach it white-blonde.

Oh how easily you cross your boundaries to get what you want.

ZARA OVERSIZED DENIM JACKET

I want this jacket. I can totally see myself wearing it over one of my little black dresses, or my new white crochet pencil skirt and white top from Zara. Some bare legs and summer sandals below and the simple spring look is complete. Ahhh spring.... how I love thee.
Thee houd ik ook van.

JEUNE PREMIERE: VERONIKA VILIM PHOTOGRAPHED BY BRUNO BARBAZAN FOR BE MAY 2014

Jeune Premiere | Model: Veronika Vilim | Photographer: Bruno Barbazan | Be May 2014

What a stunning photograph. Summer, swimming, beaches, I can see it all. Veronika Vilim is gorgeous in this natural look. Her strong-but-fragile posture, the combed back wet hair, hardly any make-up, that simple top. And before anyone else does, of course I have to mention the nipple piercings. I've never really been a fan of piercings, ears, nose or other places, but I'm kinda digging it now, she just pulls it off so well. I would not by any means. On the other hand, why the hell wouldn't I? Great, first it's tattoos I suddenly can't imagine not wanting, now it's nipple piercings, what's next?

On a side note:

My dear readers (yes I'm adressing all eight of you :p), you may have noticed I've been absent for some time. (Which is why I find it extra special that I've gained a few followers these past months, you guys must have some trust I'll start posting again soon, thanks for the vote of confidence). This is largely due to plans to start another blog, or rather, a new blog. This blog turned out more copy-and-paste (which takes a surprising amount of time nonetheless) than I imagened and planned it to be. Since I want to add more 'me' to my blog I've been keeping this one on hold, with the idea to start a new one soon. A "real" one, with a proper .com name ;) Of which thinking of 'the' name, now that I mention it, is quite an ordeal. The combination of getting bored with things easily and being a perfectionist, is certainly not the right combination for executing a new plan, I can tell you that. But, I'm sticking to the plan, and spend some time every day scribbling down some new ideas, and with the lovely support of my recently met fellow bloggers (and new friends) I'm certain you should be seeing a 'this is my new adres' announcement soon. Until then, I'll post some I-like-this things now and then, because why the hell not, it's my blog, and it keeps me busy.

Cool and the Glam | Elle France june 2013| Photos by Ben Morris | Model Bambi Northwood-Blyth

Love these shots of Bambi Northwood-Blyth. Some fun pics in there. What is it about skateboard pictures lately? This is the second one in a short while that's great. Like the Beverly Hills sign, great for taking pictures. By the way, don't you love her Bambi tatoo, so cute! Wanting a tattoo myself I'm completely focussed on other people's tattoos lately, love thinking about it!
